Country Camping values our customers and wants you to understand that your privacy is important to us. The purpose of this document is to explain how Country Camping Leisure Products (referred to as “we or “us” in this policy) protects all personal information that you provide for the purchase, service, rental, lease, and financing of recreational vehicles.
Personal Information…
Personal information is any factual or subjective information, recorded or not, about an identifiable individual. This includes, but is not limited to:
- age, name, weight, height, marital status;
- medical records;
- information about employees, their family members that may be forwarded to employee benefit carriers;
- ID numbers, income, ethnic origin, or blood type;
- Opinions, evaluations, comments, social status, disciplinary actions, employee files;
- Credit records, loan records, existence of a dispute between a consumer and a merchant, intentions (i.e. To acquire goods or services, or change jobs)
Personal information does not include job title, telephone number or address that may appear on a business card or in the telephone directory.
Accountability…

When we collect information and what information we collect…
If you approach Country Camping to:
Purchase a vehicle, receive repairs and service, finance a vehicle, purchase other products and services from us, participate in our surveys, contests or promotions, test drive one of our vehicles, or contact one of our dealership staff…
We may collect some or all of the following information:
- your name, address, and telephone number
- email address or fax number
- your driver’s license number or photocopy of your driver’s license
- your occupation, income, and years of employment
- information about your driving preferences (i.e. Preferred size, color and style of vehicle, kilometers driven annually, etc.)
- details of your vehicle and its service or accident history
- information regarding your current vehicle and any trade-in
- your insurance company and agent information, as well as policy and insurance coverage information
- your date of birth and the date of birth of other family members
- your social insurance number and that of fellow family members
- your language preference
- financial and credit information about your and/or your family
- the amount of any loans and debts, interest and repayment schedules
- if applying for life or disability insurance the any health information
- the amount of life and disability insurance taken and the details of those policies
- similar information about other members of your family
Most Credit Reporting Agencies use the Social Insurance Number to ensure that proper identification is made when conducting credit history reviews and preparing necessary credit reports. However, the provision of your SIN is optional. If you do not wish to supply a SIN then the time needed to obtain an accurate credit report may be affected.
Securing your personal information…
Your personal information is very important to us and is used by us for the purposes identified below. Access to your personal information is limited to those employees of Country Camping Leisure Products who require access to it.
Your personal information may be used to provide products and services that you require. This may include: obtaining a license for the vehicle, credit reports for financing, service reminders, updates and information regarding products and services that we offer that may be of interest to you.
Country Camping Leisure Products DOES NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We may be required to share your information with companies to assist in our service to you. This may include warranty companies, manufacturers, financial institutions, financing companies, your insurance agent and company, and credit reporting agencies. We may also disclose your personal information when we are required or permitted by law.
All employees of Country Camping Leisure Products have signed “confidentiality agreements” that clearly identifies that any and all personal information collected at or for our dealership is the property of the dealership and cannot be taken outside of our dealership at any time.
How long we retain your personal information…
We retain your personal information for as long as we know that you are the owner of the vehicle or to a maximum of seven years. Information regarding financing is kept for the duration of the loans. Service and repair information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to address any service or repair to the vehicle, or as required by law. We comply with any legal requirements pertaining to the retention of personal information.
Limiting use of your personal information…
We collect personal information that pertains to selling your vehicle, providing products and services related to the vehicle, financing of the vehicle, or repairing your vehicle. We must disclose this information to perform the above tasks. If there is any personal information that you would not like disclosed or used in any specific way, please contact Craig Forsyth. We will discuss with you options to limit collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.
Access to your personal information…
At any time, you have the right to access the personal information that we have collected to be corrected if it is believed to be inaccurate in any way. Please contact Craig Forsyth to assist you. These requests must be received in writing in compliance with the privacy legislation. Customer information will be promptly destroyed upon written request from the customer.
Issuing complaints…
A complaint form will be provided upon request. This form states the date of the complaint, name and phone number of the complainant, and the nature of the complaint. This form will be given to the privacy officer and promptly investigated. We will rectify any situations that may require changes in the practices and policies of our privacy procedures and communicate those changes to the relevant staff. You will be quickly notified of the investigation outcome and any relevant steps that were taken to rectify the situation.
